I Learned...
I learned that you can always go back and add more detail to my writing. Using new vocab and quotes can make the paragraph more interesting and better to read!

What i learned was that i can go back and make it better, and always add more details to improve my writing.
Posting my topic sentence was very different but I liked it a lot. I thought it was kind of embarrassing, but it was was not at all. I liked how I could have different people have their opinion on my sentence, but also help me to improve. I learned how to not but more of "yourself" in the sentence, but more of the characters. Otherwise, I just learned to keep revising and rereading so it makes full since.

1) People commenting on my topic sentence helped me make changes that made it better and helped me get a better understanding of what a topic sentence should sound like.
2) I learned that topic sentences should grab the readers attention by using good words but getting straight to what the rest of the paragraph is going to be like.

in the infuriating story of the lady and the tiger, the princess doesn't value much, but herself. she didn't want her her lover with anyone else but her. so she would have chosen the tiger over the lady.
what i learned from writing the topic sentence was that you don't want to repeat the question asked, but make a connection to it. and how you have to use better word choice to grab people and to incorporate more detail.

The princess in Lady or The Tiger most values herself being the one and only woman in her lovers life, given by the text when she is explaining how much she doesn't want her lover to be with any other pretty girl. She has the choice to let her lover live and be with another woman or die by the tiger. I think that she should think about how she feels about him before she chooses the door to his fait.
I learned nothing that i didn't already know. I guess i have more details than i usually do and i used bigger words.

From doing the topics sentence and having our "island mates" study them and help revise them or give responses helped. It showed me what to improve on and how to make my topic sentence and put more detail into it. This activity helped me also because i looked at other sentences and it helped me change mine around.

The Lady or the Tiger, by Frank Stockton is a story about the consequences of selfishness and greed. "Even though the Princess has her lover's trust, she only values her best interests because she is selfish, and can't learn to trust anyone else. She does not try to stand in her lover's shoes, and understand the story from his point of view."
Reflection: I learned how to get right to the point at the beginning of my topic sentence, instead of putting the main idea at the end. This helped my topic sentence make more sense to the reader, so the reader didn't have to work to understand what I was trying to say.

In the story "lady or the Tiger," by Frank Stockton, The princess values her lover but she lead him to the tiger because she did not want him to be with the lady behind the door. So the princess values her self at the end of the story because she just like her father"barbaric."
I learned that you should not let your barbaric personality get in the way when it comes to relations with your friends, family and or personal relations.

After I read the story "The Lady or The Tiger" I thought the princess valued her lovers reputation and looks more than the lover himself, also that she didnt want anyone else to be with him because of who he is.
While i was doing this i learned that my writing confuses people sometimes. Im going to try and write clearer next time.

The princess's main concern was that her lover had only eyes for her this is best shown in the story when she kept imaging her lover marring that other woman.

* In the story "The Lady or the Tiger," the princess is faced with a hard decision because in life she values beauty, love and herself the most.
I learned from writing this topic sentence that it is harder than I thought to write the sentence. I found that it is hardest to make the sentence well written and fit all the information in it. Although I feel like I learned new ways to write and I liked reading everyone elses posts.

I learned that when you have your class mates help you and they give you advice, it makes a big difference. But the only time it will help is when you consider what they are saying and really think hard about it. After taking a break from working on my sentence it also helped me gain a better sentence. Mainly i didn't learn that much of anything.

Values,After reading "The Lady and The Tiger" I think that the princess values the trust and love "The Lover" had for her. In my mind. "The Lover" was wrong to trust the princes, considering she was just like her father who was quite barbaric, and selfish.

*** After reading the story "The Lady and The Tiger" by Frank Stockton i think that the princesses jealousy over rules her her feelings for her lover. * In "The Lady or the Tiger" the princess had hard options, should she tell her lover the door with the lady or the tiger; even though she has a tough choice before her, the love she feels toward her lover will greatly over power her barbaric nature.
